Denny was born in Columbus, OH and was raised in Negley, OH graduating from Beaver Local High School in 1965 and went on to graduate from Kent State University, with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He served proudly in the United States Army as a Sgt. in the 25th Infantry, during the Vietnam War receiving the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and a Presidential Citation. Denny moved to Conyers, in 1987, where he proudly owned and operated DHD Metals for 31 years with his wife, was a member of Holy Cross Anglican Church, in Loganville and was a member of Madison Masonic Lodge #93, he was a member of The Stained Glass Association and The American Glass Guild. Denny enjoyed golfing, fishing, cars, playing tennis, traveling and the beach.
Mr. Dailey was preceded in death by his parents, Bert Hassan and Jean McCann Dailey.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janice L. Dailey; daughter, Danielle Thacker and her husband, Ken; son, James H. Dailey and his wife, Coleen; brothers, David Dailey and his wife, Joanne and Mark Dailey and his wife, Sondra; four grandchildren and one on the way, Cameron, Brandon, Hudson, Hayden and Hollyn; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
