Our dearly beloved Bobby, 75, went home to be with Jesus on Aug 24th at the Veteran Hospital in Portland, Or..
Bobby was born in Gold Beach, Or to Robert & Mildred Donaca. He attended elementary school in Ophir, Or and transferred to Gold Beach High for his high school years. He loved playing football during his high school years and continued to have a love for football all his life. He also loved the sport of boxing, he participated in the sport while he was in the Army. He joined the Army on Dec 1963 and served three years. Two years in Hawaii & nine months in Vietnam, where he was a machine gunner on the front lines. He was truly a hero for serving in Vietnam. He was honorably discharge on Sept 11, 1966.
Bobby’s workinag years was spent driving truck, which he learned from his brother Clarence. He drove several types of trucks, but logging truck was his favorite.
Bobby met Linda right after getting out of the Army and they were married on March 31, 1967. They spent fifty four wonderful years together and had two amazing sons, Brian & Shane.
Bobby was a very gifted guitar player, which he also learned from his brother Clarence. He wrote several Christian songs and recorded them a CD. Bobby had an amazing voice.
Bobby had a great sense of humor and all of Shane and Brian’s friend loved spending time at the Donaca house when the boys were young, mostly because he was so much fun to be around. He loved to always joke with kids and everyone else.
He was loved by many and will be missed by many.
Bobby was predeceased by his beloved son Shane, his mother Mildred, his brother Clarence & sister Helen.
Bobby is survived by his wife Linda, son Brian(Angela), daughter-in-law Kimberly, grandchildren Jonathan, Anna, Kaitlynn, Brooke & Ashlynn and three great grandchildren Cameron, Lincoln Shane and Parker. Also numerous nephews & nieces.
