DETAILS
On April 04, 1967, at 1400 hours, an APC from Company C hit a mine. After striking the mine the APC was hit by a LAW fired from a bunker. Six Bobcats were wounded. At 1550 hours, while searching an area some 8,000 meters due west of Katum, an APC from Company A detonated an AT mine at resulting in five Bobcats being wounded. At 1558 hours, Company A located a communications wire line at XT 240906. While checking the line, an unknown number of VC opened fire with small arms and automatic weapons fire. Fire was returned and the VC broke contact at 1615 hours. One Bobcat from Company A was killed and one was wounded in the exchange of fire.
