DETAILS
On March 13, 1969, Company A conducted a RIF operation northeast of Trung Lap. At 1615 hours, two booby traps were detonated wounding five Bobcats from the company. Two of them died from wounds before they could get to hospital. A duce and a half truck from the 1/5th(M) detonated an AT mine on Highway 7A, 1 kilometer south of Trung Lap at 1000 hours. The vehicle was destroyed. At 1325 hours, Company B, while sweeping around Trung Lap, had 1 round of RPG fired at one of their tracks, but it missed. Fire was returned with unknown results.
