Obituary of Elton Lovett ELGIN – Graveside service for Elton Lovett, 73, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. John Mims will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Lovett died Saturday, January 18, 2014. Born in Winnsboro, he was the son of the late Paul and Katherine Corley Lovett. He retired from the United States Army having served four tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly Johnson (Mark); grandchildren, Courtney and Trent Johnson; and brothers, Larry Lovett and Barry Lovett. He was predeceased by brothers, Bobby Lovett and James Lovett.
