Samuel Jones Robinson Jr., 84, widower of Frances Dobbs Robinson, passed away, Sunday, April 2, 2023. Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1938, he was the son to the late Samuel and Jamie “Jamy” Barnes Robinson. He was a retired United States Army Colonel and a retired history teacher at George Rogers Clark High School. He was very active in the Clark County Retired Teachers Association, a former Boy Scouts of America leader for Troop 75 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Sam was a lifelong learner who never met a stranger. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Emile) Hanton and his two grandchildren, Reid and Charlotte. In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Jamie “Dee” Barnes Robinson and nephew, Kimmel Finley.
