Paul E. Stevens, 75, passed away on March 16, 2022 at the Exeter Rehabilitation Center. He was born on September 12, 1946 in Rochester, NH, the son of the late Walter G. and Marjorie (Webber) Stevens. Paul grew up in Epping, NH and has resided in Fremont for the last 46 years. During the Vietnam War, he served as a Sergeant in the United States Army where he was honored with two Purple Hearts and Bronze Star Medal. Paul formerly worked as a police officer in the towns of Fremont and Sandown, NH. He was also formerly employed as a security officer at Hampstead Hospital and as a master armorer for Sig Sauer in Newington, NH. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring with his beloved dog Charlie, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Epping, NH. He was predeceased by his wife Roberta “Bobbie” (Jackson) Stevens who died on September 3, 2019; and sister Martha Hulligan of Florida and New Hampshire, and is survived by three daughters, Kelly-Ann Stevens Ragona of Duxbury, MA, Jill Majorie Foye of Rochester, MA, and Jamie Lynn Wiksten of Wareham, MA; four grandchildren, Rachel and Julia Foye, and Abby and Will Wiksten; his brother David Stevens of Palmyra, Maine, and two sisters, Marilyn Allen of Newmarket, NH and Priscilla Engel of Stratham, NH; several nieces and nephews, including Peter LaRoche of Fremont NH, and godchild, Danielle LaRoche Petlick of Stratham, NH. Funeral services will be held at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH on Tuesday March 29, 2022 at 9 a.m.
