Harold Visser Obituary VISSER- Harold R. "Hal" Visser, age 88, passed away May 1, 2018 in Pensacola, FL. He was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to the late Paul and Margaret Visser. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Eric Scott Visser. He was a longtime resident of the Fort Walton area moving here in 1955. Hal served in the Korean War and retired in 1969 as a Technical Sergeant with over 20 years of service in the Air Force. He later retired after 23 years of service from a Civil Service Career in Aerospace Design using his Associates Degree in Drafting and Design. Hal was an Honorary Life Member of the American Legion Post 235 and VFW Post 7674. Hal is survived by his loving wife Betty of 40 years; daughter Diana Lynn Visser (Craig Phillips); brother Gerald Visser (Lillian); sister JoAnn Powell (Dean); Step-daughter Janet Marie Sharman (James); Step-sons James W. Wilson and Thomas W. Wilson (Meredith); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. A Celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care and assistance with Hal's care to Covenant Hospice and special friend of family Sally. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made in Harold's honor to Covenant Hospice, 220 Eglin Pkwy NE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32547.
