Lewis Clemons Jr., age 76 of Conyers, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Arrice Clemons; brother, Charles Clemons; sisters, Betty Clemons and Blanche Reedy. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Clemons; sons and daughter-in-law, Curtis Ashberry, Stacy (Lynn) Ashberry, Lewis Clemons III, Gregory (Catrease) Harvey; daughters and sons-in-law, Tamala (Michael) Outing, Bridgett Clemons, Beverly (Mack) Johnson, Pedra Gray; a loving sister, Sandra Tookes; a host of nieces and nephews; and a close cousin, Lois Argo. Lewis has 30 grandkids; and 48 great-grandkids. He served three tours in Vietnam with the United States Army and was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. Lewis was a member of First Baptist Church of Conyers. He worked for Naylor as a printing press mechanic. Bowling was his favorite hobby. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Georgia National Cemetery
