Jeffrey McGrath was a beloved and loving Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend and community volunteer. Born August 22, 1947 on Long Island, New York. He graduated from Westhampton High School in 1966. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967 serving 3 years including a tour in Vietnam. Jeff’s service continued for an additional 20 years with the National Guard of New York and then California rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Jeff was married to Judith 52 years. He had a career with AT&T which brought them a transfer to California. Upon retirement from the National Guard Jeff took up the hobby of scuba diving. He was active in the scuba community, active in the church community of Christ the King Lutheran in Fremont and then of Trinity Lutheran in Fresno, he served on the boards for Friends of the Ranchos Library, South East Madera County United and the 5th Infantry Regiment Association-Bobcats. His existence made the world a better place. He passed away Sunday, October 22 surrounded by family. He will be missed by his wife, Judith; son Scott and daughter-in-law Angela, granddaughter Emma; daughter Stephanie Alarcon and son-in-law Nathan, grandchildren Alexandra, Isabella and Mason.
