DETAILS
On June 28, 1966, at 1040 hours Company B had a man killed in a tunnel. The man who was behind him said, "We got to a corner in the tunnel. It turned 90 degrees to the right. He moved part way around the corner and said ‘Oh No,’ and then some shots were fired and he was dead." The men who went into the tunnel to retrieve his body were fired at by the VC and had to use his body as a shield as they dragged it out.
