DETAILS
On November 23, 1968, at 0928 hours, an APC from the Recon Platoon detonated a 105mm WP round about one kilometer northwest of Trung Lap. There were no injuries nor damage. At 1015 hours, elements of Company C conducting a sweep on Highway 7A in the Thai My area detonated an AT mine. One Bobcat from Company C was killed and one man from the 65th Engineers was wounded by the explosion. At 1225 hours, Company A was searching one kilometer northeast of the junction of Highways 1 and 7A. A booby trap was detonated and six Bobcats from the company were wounded. Later in the day, two Bobcats from Company C were wounded when they received small arms fire in the area of Thai My.
