On October 19, 1967, Company C provided security for Fire Support / Patrol Base Gertrude located southwest of Thai My at XT 524144. Company A provided one platoon to secure FSB Martha. One Bobcat from Company C was killed by a boobytrap explosion. At 2150 hours, an ambush patrol from Company B engaged three VC, killing one.
