DETAILS
On September 12, 1967, elements of the battalion conducted an airmobile combat assault and established a blocking position west of Go Dau Ha at XT 2532. Company A remained in the area of FSB Diane, providing security for engineer and artillery operations. At 1445 hours, one Bobcat from Company C was killed by a “friendly” artillery long round. At 1515 hours, a Hoi Chanh led Company C to a small ammunition cache at XT 252324. By 1800 hours, the battalion- completed airmobile movement back to FSB Diane. The Recon Platoon provided security for FSB Carol located northwest of Go Dau Ha at XT 334357.
