DETAILS
On April 30, 1967, the battalion minus Company C conducted S&D operations from XT 538338 to the Saigon River and back without contact.
Company C was attached to the 1/27th Infantry. At 1005 hours the unit made contact at XT 578285, while conducting a sweep. The units remained in a fire-fight until 1115 hours, at which time the VC broke contact after friendly artillery was employed. One Bobcat from Company C was killed and two were wounded during the encounter.
